As a spine surgeon, Dr. Wallace strives to provide superior care to all of his patients. Throughout his life he has learned the value of serving others. As a boy growing up in Michigan, he was heavily involved in the Boy Scouts of America, achieving the highest rank of Eagle Scout. After high school, he dedicated two years serving as a missionary for his church in the country of Bulgaria, teaching and helping the amazing people there. He continued this philosphy in college and medical school, volunteering at the local hospital and participating in medical missions in the Mexican border-town of Brownsville, Texas.
He strives to bring this same compassion to every patient he treats. He takes the time to explain in simple terms, the many options to treat the spine. In that way, he hopes to foster open communication and allow his patients to have shared decision-making on the care they receive.
In his down time, Dr. Wallace loves to spend time with his family. He enjoys weight training, road biking, and playing video games. He speaks fluent Bulgarian and conversational Russian.
Dr. Wallace focuses on treating patients in the least-invasive way possible. He strongly recommends using evidence-based, non-surgical methods prior to considering surgical options. When necessary, he uses contemporary techniques including minimally invasive, endoscopic and motion-sparing modalities to preserve function and restore quality of life for his patients.
